The following are the results from area schools and percentages of students who met or exceeded the standards on the 2010 MCA-II science test, along with how those figures compared to the 2008-09 school year.

Aitkin

44 percent of fifth graders were proficient, an 8 percent increase.

42 percent of eighth graders were proficient, a 2 percent increase.

42 percent of high school students were proficient, a 2 percent increase.

Brainerd

64 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, an 8 percent increase.

58 percent of eighth-graders were proficient, 11 percent increase.

54 percent of high school students were proficient, a 6 percent decrease.

Crosby-Ironton

56 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, a 7 percent increase.

59 percent of eighth-graders were proficient, an 18 percent increase.

60 percent of high school students were proficient, a 23 percent increase.

Crosslake Community School

33 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, a 13 percent decrease.

Eighth-grade results were unavailable since fewer than 10 students took the test.

Emily Charter School

25 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, a 12 percent increase.

Little Falls

49 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, a 6 percent increase.

38 percent of eighth-graders were proficient, a 2 percent increase.

55 percent of high school students were proficient, a 13 percent increase.

Pequot Lakes

42 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, a 3 percent decrease.

50 percent of eighth-graders were proficient, a 10 percent increase.

54 percent of high school students were proficient, a 2 percent increase.

45 percent of fifth-graders were proficient, an 11 percent increase.
