CROSBY - The time for the closing ceremony Monday for The Moving Wall at Crosby memorial Park on Serpent Lake has been moved to 2 p.m.

The ceremony had been planned for 5 p.m. Monday, but had to be moved because of circumstances beyond the Moving Wall Committee's control, a committee member said.

The Moving Wall is a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington. It has been in Crosby since Thursday. The wall was brought to Crosby through the efforts of Myrin James Legion Post 443 in Ironton and the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post 557 in Deerwood.

Monday's closing ceremony will include The National Anthem sung by Kris Hasskamp; the Pledge of Allegiance; a benediction by David Landree, chaplain with Myrin James Legion Post 443 in Ironton; A POW/MIA ceremony by Landree; acknowledgments by Bill Leonhardt, chairman of the Moving Wall Committee; "Can you Feel the Love Tonight" sung by Kris Hasskamp; a 21-gun salute and Taps played by the Cuyuna Range Community Band directed by Chris Halverson; "God Bless the USA" sung Kris Hasskamp; and retirement of colors by the Myrin James Legion Post 443 in Ironton and the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post 557 in Deerwood.
