Four hurt in collision

MERRIFIELD - Two children, an 8-month-old and a 2-year-old, and two adults suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Crow Wing County Roads 3 and 4 in Merrifield, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department reported.

The driver of one vehicle, Donald Berry, 52, Crosslake, was stopped at the intersection of Crow Wing County Roads 3 and 4 to turn southbound onto Crow Wing County Road 3, and pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Lindsey Jo Hanson, 19, Brainerd.

Berry and Hanson, both of whom were wearing seat belts; and two the two children in Hanson's vehicle, both were properly secured in infant and child car seats; suffered minor injuries, the sheriff's department reported.

The injured were transported by North Ambulance to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Information on their conditions was unavailable Sunday afternoon.

The Nisswa Fire Department assisted at the scene.
