Man killed in one-vehicle crash near Onamia

ONAMIA -- A man was killed Saturday in a one-vehicle accident in Mille Lacs County, the State Patrol reported.

The man, whose name is not being released pending the notification of relatives, was driving on U.S. 169 three miles north of Onamia in Mille Lacs County when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

No other information was available Sunday.

The accident was reported at 5:34 p.m. Saturday.

'Ninjas' cause Motley scare

MOTLEY -- A report Sunday night of a possible robbery involving two masked men sent law enforcement authorities racing to Orton's Amoco station in Motley.

Law enforcement officers from the Morrison and Todd County Sheriff's departments and police officers from Staples, Motley and Randall responded to the call, reported at 7:09 p.m. Sunday.

When authorities arrived at the store they learned the two masked men were dressed in stocking caps and Ninja outfits to return a Ninja movie they had rented from the convenience store, the Morrison County Sheriff's Department reported Sunday.
