Carl L. Link
BAXTER - Carl L. Link, 76, of Baxter, died July 22, 2009, at his home. Services for Carl will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Steve Laflamme officiating. Friends are welcome to visit Monday from 5-7 p.m. with parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
Carl was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Staples, Minn., to Clarence and Lillian Link. He graduated from high school and worked for 25 years as an ore boat pilot on the Great Lakes. Carl married Marcella D. Piasecki on March 3, 1965. He was a member of St. Francis Church, enjoyed playing cards and loved Bingo. After retirement Carl enjoyed landscaping and gardening. He was a member of the Eagles Aires.
He is survived and missed by his wife, Marcella "Sally;" children, Tim (Anne) and Carla Rose; his granddaughter, Hilliary; and a mother-in-law, Cecelia Piasecki. He was preceded in death by his parents.Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
