NISSWA -- Mrs. Myrtle R. Wallin, 73, Brainerd, formerly of Nisswa, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
She was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Pine River to LeRoy and Mary Hardy. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1950. She married Carl Edgar Wallin on June 20, 1957, in Lake Hubert. She and Carl were devoted Pequot Lakes Patriots sports fans.
Survivors include five sons: Terry and Juanita Wallin, Brainerd, Peter and Paula Wallin, Don and Anita Wallin, Thomas Wallin, all of Nisswa, William and Lynda Wallin, Pequot Lakes; two daughters, Bev and Henry Kramp, Pine River, Barb Worcester, Park Rapids; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Strang, Brainerd; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Carl, son Timothy Wallin, grandson James Worcester, parents, four brothers: Archie, Clarence, James, Charles, and three sisters: Ruth, Jessie and Eleanor preceded her in death.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Christ Community Church, Nisswa, with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nisswa.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
