Herbert Dreitzler

GLEN -- Herbert Dreitzler, 87, Glen, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at North Memorial Medical Center of Robbinsdale.

He was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Des Moines to Alfred and Margaret (Herbert) Dreitzler. He worked on vehicle body repair for the city of Minneapolis. He married Margaret Jodel on April 17, 1933, in Minneapolis. He moved with his family as a child to Duluth and then to Minneapolis. He attended Willard Grade School, Lincoln Junior High and graduated in 1930 from North High School in Minneapolis. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Aitkin, was a veteran with the Navy during World War II, past president of Ascension Holy Name Society in Minneapolis, and past Grand Knight Council No. 4451 of Minneapolis. He and his wife moved to Glen in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Eugene; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph, Minneapolis.

His wife, a daughter, Joan, and a sister, Lucille, died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gethsemane Cemetery.
