Retired trooper killed in mishap

FERGUS FALLS (AP) -- A 26-year-old Fergus Falls woman faces possible drunken driving charges after an auto accident Monday that killed a former state trooper.
Otter Tail County authorities said Fred Peterson, 55, was riding his bicycle on a county road when he was struck from behind. The car driven by the Fergus Falls woman was attempting to pass Peterson and another cyclist when Peterson tried to make a left turn.
