ST. CLOUD - Two losses in the first round eliminated Little Falls from the District 6 tournament Wednesday.
Waite Park beat Little Falls 4-2 in the first game as Waite Park's Mike Frericks struck out 16 batters, including the last three hitters in the Little Falls order 10 of 11 times.
Cold Spring beat Little Falls 6-4 in the second game, ending Little Falls' season with a 17-6 record. Little Falls won regular-season and subdistrict titles this season.
"Although it was disappointing to end our season the way we did, it was still a very successful season and one that the boys should be proud of," Little Falls coach Chad Kaddatz said.

Little Falls loaded the bases in the first and fourth innings, but Waite Park turned double plays to get out of both jams.
Pete Suska was 2-for-5 for Little Falls and Riley Hirsch, Ryan Thilquist and Cody Waldvogel were all 1-4.
Logan Kalis pitched all nine innings for Little Falls. He struck out six, walked six and allowed just seven hits and two earned runs.

Little Falls was limited to six hits and committed three costly errors in the late innings.
Kalis, who hit the ball hard five times but was 0-5 on the day, finished his Little Falls career with a ninth-inning RBI triple.
Riley Hirsch pitched the final two innings, striking out five and catching a pop-up to account for all six of the outs he recorded. He walked one and allowed one hit and no runs.
Pete Suska, Hirsch, Kalis, Eddie Wenzel, Eli Ploof and Andy Wenz had hits for Little Falls.
