Henry N. Krueger

Henry N. Krueger, 71, Brainerd, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was born on April 21, 1933, in Mankato to Henry J. and Luella (Leffler) Krueger. Henry served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He worked for the United States Post Office. For several years after that he delivered milk in the Brainerd area and then worked for North Star Plating and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Henry is survived by six children, Ronna (Sy) Platten of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Roland (Linda) Krueger of Brainerd, Timothy Krueger of Albuquerque, N.M., Manvil Krueger, Ronda (Steve) Jones and Nolan Krueger, all of Brainerd; six grandchildren, James Sr. (Jessica) Renn, Gwen (David) Scott, Rene Krueger, Nathan Krueger, Cody Jones and Hudson Krueger-Garcia; two great-grandchildren, James Jr. Renn and Alex Scott; and his dog, Buddy.

He is also survived by one brother, Wendell Krueger, and two sisters, Velma Cowell and Avril Allen, all of Brainerd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Ronald, Henry and Christopher, a brother, Ronald, and a sister, Ronna.

Services will be held Monday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Andy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato on Tuesday, July 27, at 11 a.m. Friends may call on Sunday, July 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home.
