Herduin 'Herdy' Lindert

AITKIN -- Herduin "Herdy" Lindert, age 79 of Aitkin, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was born on Aug. 15, 1923 in Norwood, Minn., to Victor and Zita (Herduin) Lindert. He married Marlys O. Mickelsen on June 27, 1951, in Northfield. He was a WW II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby, Kinship Partners, the American Legion at Norwood Young America. He was a retired Norwood Young America firefighter. He was a retired owner and electrician of Lindert's Electrical in Norwood. He retired to the Cuyuna Range in 1998.

He is survived by his wife Marlys "Mick." He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby with the Rev. Paul Mattson officiating. Burial will be at the MN State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, and also an hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
