ST. PAUL -- John Robert Fausch, 95, St. Paul and formerly of Minneapolis and Big Sandy Lake, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at the Highland Chateau Care Center in St. Paul.
He was born July 10, 1905, at Blockton, Iowa, to C.D. and Margrette Fausch. He graduated from Morristown High School, attended Winona State Teacher's College and then attended the University of Minnesota where he received his education bachelor's degree and master's degree. He married Laimi Kangas on June 14, 1930. He worked in Albert Lea as a teacher and then moved to Minneapolis where he worked for the Minneapolis Public Schools. He worked as a teacher, trainer, counselor and curriculum director in various schools. He became the coordinator of publications, was editor of the Minneapolis Public School's School Bulletin and was responsible for all printed materials and publications for the school district from 1955-1998. He lived in Minneapolis until his retirement and then moved to Big Sandy Lake. He entered Aicota Health Care Center in 1997 and then moved to the Highland Chateau Care Center in 1998.
Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Huff, Naomi Fausch and Grace Tuttle; four brothers, George, Cecil, Charles and Homer; and many nieces and nephews. His wife; a daughter, Jean Ann; a brother, Herman; and a sister, Ruth died earlier.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church near McGregor with Rev. James Allison officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Needle Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church.
