Roy E. Pike

Roy E. Pike, 90, 420 Vine Street, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at home.

He was born June 8, 1910, in Rochester to Earl and Grace Pike. He married Gladys Flynn on Oct. 14, 1936, in Rochester. They moved to Brainerd and established Pike Plumbing and Heating in 1940. He was active in the Boy Scouts, Lions, Gun Safety, Elks and Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Francis Church.

Survivors include three sons, William, Fairbanks, Alaska, Robert, Kimball, and Richard, St. Cloud; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, George, Rockford, Ill., two sisters, Gladys Scoville, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Shirley Schlessinger, Minneapolis; and special friends, Elvira Glover and Virginia Caughey.

His wife, and a daughter, Patricia, died earlier.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church of Brainerd. Memorials are preferred.

Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
