Author to appear Monday at Rainy Days

NISSWA - Author Wendy Webb will discuss her debut novel "The Tale of Halcyon Crane," at 6:30 p.m. Monday with Rainy Days Book Club in Freddy's dining room at the Pines golf course at Grand View Lodge.

The event is free, but people are asked to sign up at Rainy Days by calling 963-4891 or e-mailing rainydays@nisswa.net no later than Friday.

"The Tale of Halcyon Crane," is set on Minnesota's North Shore in a small town that's a throwback to another time. Hallie Crane, the protagonist, receives a summons from an unimagined past and discovers the shocking truth about her childhood and the ghosts that haunted it.

Webb, Duluth, is the editor-in-chief of Duluth Superior Magazine, a lifestyle monthly.
