NISSWA - Trailing 7-4 after six innings the third-seeded Nisswa Legion baseball team rallied for three runs in the seventh and added three in the eighth on its way to a 10-8 victory over No. 6 Aitkin in the North Subdistrict 6 tournament Tuesday night.
Aric Hurd pitched seven splendid innings in relief of Trevor Thompson to get the win. He allowed just two hits and one earned run, struck out six and walked three.
Dan Bendzick pitched two-thirds of an inning to get a save. He struck out one and walked two.
Kyle Crocker was 2-for-3 with three runs and three stolen bases for Nisswa. Thompson was 2-5 with the go-ahead two-run double in the eighth.
Hurd drove in two runs, Kyle Schaible was 2-2, Matt Lambrecht was 2-4 with a double and Nick Rardin went 1-3 with two runs and an RBI for Nisswa.
