Ultralight crash kills pilot
PEQUOT LAKES - A man was killed shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday when the fixed-wing, ultralight airplane he was piloting crashed into a field off Crow Wing County Road 16, across the road from Bertha Boatworks about five miles northeast of Pequot Lakes.

Rezoning request in Lake Edward Township approved
The Crow Wing County Board voted 3-1 Tuesday to approve a rezoning request in Lake Edward Township, which has generated opposition from neighbors on Gladstone Lake Road.
