PILLAGER - Roger O. Evans, age 70, of Pillager, formerly of Robbinsdale, Minn. He was born March 14, 1939, in Minneapolis and passed away July 18, 2009, after a courageous battle with a rare genetic disorder which led to chronic liver failure. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce (Hart); children, Arlo (Lissa), Dana (Keith) Bjorgan, Owen (Roxann) and seven wonderful grandchildren; mother-in-law, Theresa Hart; sister, Lauren; brother, Jerry; aunts, Marge and Eleanor and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Roger was an educator in the Robbinsdale Schools for 35 years and ended his career as principal at Pilgrim Lane Elementary. He was involved in politics and community service. In retirement he served on the Sylvan Township Planning Commission for several years. His many talents will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 42nd and Brunswick Avenue North, Crystal, Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to The Mayo Foundation for all the care and support he received for the past five years. Arrangements with Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel in Robbinsdale.
