Gelbach to speak at Brown Bag series
Deborah Gelbach, author of "Minnesota: Shaped by the Land," will speak at noon Monday at the Brainerd Public Library as the next guest in the Brown Bag Summer Speakers' Series.
The book examines three centuries of Minnesota's growth and how geography influenced that growth.
The series is free to the public. Bring a bag lunch, if you wish.
Library Friends accepting book sale donations
Friends of the Brainerd Public Library organization is currently accepting donations for its used book sale, which will be Aug. 17-18.
Donations may be dropped off at the library during regular hours. For more information, call the library at 829-5574.
