20 years ago (1986)

The Brainerd VFW baseball team ended the regular season by pounding out 25 hits en route to a double header sweep of Princeton. Brainerd finished the season with a 13-10 record.

30 years ago (1976)

Ten members of the Brainerd Senior High School Symphonic Band have been selected for honors in the 1976-77 Minnesota All-State organizations. Six members were chosen for the All-State Band and four for the All-State Orchestra.

40 years ago (1966)

Milt Wagner was high gun Sunday in Uncle Tom's trap shoot breaking 96 of 100 targets to edge out Les Roberts Sr., who broke 93.

60 years ago (1946)

Hank Graff, local sportsman, made a hole-in-one out to Breezy Point Sunday...only it was the wrong hole. Hank teed off no. 18, the ball climbing over 200 feet, came down in hole no. 9, just 75 feet away.

80 years ago (1926)

More than 400 people attended the Eagles picnic last Sunday at George H. West's place on North Long Lake and reported a very enjoyable time. There was boat racing, swimming, races and many other sports.

100 years ago (1906)
