Alice Florence Wenzel, 79, Deerwood, died Friday, July 20, 2001, at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
She was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Deerwood Township to Alfred and Elsie (Lauerman) Ruschmeyer. She married James Wenzel on Nov. 10, 1942, in Iron Hub. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.
Survivors include a son, Steve Wenzel, Reno, Nev.; five daughters, Linda Mills, Flagstaff, Ariz., Sherry Jeurissen, Reno, Nev., Valerie Vervoort, Stoughton, Wis., Lori Hagen, Evansville, Wis., and Kit Wenzel, Evansville; two brothers, Alfred Ruschmeyer, Grants Pass, Ore., and Clifford Ruschmeyer, Holmewood, Calif.; and 16 grandchildren.
Her husband; a son, Gregory Wenzel; and a brother, Robert Ruschmeyer, died earlier.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby with the Rev. Paul Mattson officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township.
Friends may call one hour before services today at the church.
