NISSWA - Dave and Sandy Johnson recently purchased Paul Bunyan Realty, Inc., in Nisswa from Glen and Sherry Jeffries, who retired.
The Johnsons, originally from Brainerd, have lived in the Nisswa area since 1988. They are the previous owners of the Nisswa Hardware Hank store.
Dave Johnson, who will be the broker, has been a real estate agent for seven years. Sandy Johnson has been a real estate agent for two years. Sandy Johnson also is employed at Bethany Nursing Home as a licensed social worker.
Holden named top agent for 2nd quarter
NISSWA - Cindy Holden, a real estate agent with Positive NORTH GMAC in Nisswa, was named top agent of the second quarter for 2007.
Holden, also named top agent of the first quarter, has been in real estate for more than three years. Prior to getting her license, Holden worked for a contractor in Baxter.
Holden is a member of the Greater Lakes Association of Realtors, Northstar Multiple Listing Service of the Twin Cities and the Minnesota and National Association of Realtors.
Goedker to recruit agents for Century 21
BAXTER - Kevin Goedker of Century 21 Brainerd Realty, Inc., is taking on the sales and training manager position while retaining his position as a real estate agent with Century 21.
Goedker will be responsible for recruiting, training and mentoring new agents for Century 21.
Goedker became a real estate agent in 1989 in Minnesota. He previously owned a real estate brokerage firm in Destin, Fla., before returning to Minnesota in 2000.
Goedker, who joined Century 21 Brainerd Realty in 2004, has earned a Graduate of Realtors Institute designation and the e-Pro technology certification.
LF paint-a-thon and home fix-up event set
LITTLE FALLS - The Oasis/Share a Meal Community Paint-a-thon and Home Fix-up is scheduled Aug. 4 in Little Falls with a kickoff breakfast at 6:45 a.m. at First United Church in Little Falls.
After the breakfast, painting teams will be dispersed to the various homes to be painted.
Seven homes will be painted - four are located in Little Falls, with one each in Motley, Pierz and the Hillman area.
Teams from Little Falls include First Lutheran Church, First United Church, Michael Osberg Memorial Team, Thrivent, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Little Falls School District teachers, Little Falls Key Club and St. Mary's Church. Other small-town teams include Upsala Community Covenant Church, Bethany Lutheran Church of Cushing, Swanville Lions, St. Joseph's KC's of Pierz and Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Upsala.
Teams will fix up the homes at no cost to the homeowner. The cost of the fix-up will be covered by grants received by the Initiative Foundation, Little Falls Foundation, Kopp Family Foundation, Crow Wing Trust, Minnesota Power, Little Falls Exchange Club and Little Falls Lindbergh Lions.
