Dispatch launches real estate guide

Shopping for a new home this weekend and want to get the most updated listing of homes on the market in the Brainerd lakes area?

The Brainerd Dispatch is launching a new product Friday - UpNorth Home Finder, a weekly guide to open houses and featured listings in the lakes area. The product is available in print and online at www.upnorthhomefinder.com.

"If you want to list your home with an agent Wednesday night, you could have an open house Friday and it would be advertised in print and online with this new product," said Tim Bogenschutz, Dispatch advertising director. "UpNorth Home Finder will let customers know what's happening that coming weekend with housing."

Bogenschutz said listings are sorted by cities, with a map to help locate each home. Listings will include the days and times for open houses and the price and description for featured homes. Also included will be a photo of the home and the real estate agent working with each listing.

Bogenschutz said the Dispatch is working on a more detailed map of each listing that will include an online link for driving directions.

"This publication will make it easier for the customer and the agent," Bogenschutz said. "This is a fast and efficient way to get the information out to the public and will help lower costs for the agents who have been paying for the housing ads."
