PIERZ -- Evelyn A. Gangl, 85, Pierz and formerly of Buckman, died Thursday July 18, 2002, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1917, in Buckman to Edward and Catherine (Meyer) Gruber. She attended a country school in Dixville. She married Paul Gangl Aug. 17, 1940, in Buckman. The couple farmed for four years in the Bowlus area and in 1945 they purchased a farm near Buckman. In 1969, they moved to Pierz. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Christian Mothers and the St. Joseph's Mission Group.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Judy Ringeisen, St. Cloud; a son, Eddie Gangl, Pierz; a brother, Don Gruber, Buckman; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren
Her son, Gordon Gangl, and a brother, Alfred Gruber, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8-10 a.m. Monday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz. Christian Mothers Rosary will be at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
