GARRISON -- Robert Neil Domino, 70, Garrison, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at his home in Sherwood Forest north of Garrison.
Domino was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Storm lake, Iowa, to Vaughn and Ruby (Zimmer) Domino. He grew up in southern Minnesota around Jackson. He was married to Cecilia E. Zahorsky in Jackson. Following their marriage, they moved to Minot, N.D. In 1952, he was hired by Great Northern Railroad. Robert retired in 1985 and in 1988 Robert and Cecilia moved to Platte Lake, near Hillman, and later to their present home at Sherwood Forest, north of Garrison. The couple also wintered in Mesa, Ariz. He was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Bulldog Lake and was presently attending lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Michael, Elk River, Douglas, New York, Lowell, Park Rapids, Curt, Park Rapids, Jeffrey, Auburn, Neb.; two daughters, Luella Thomas, Sioux Falls, S.D., Pamela Riely, Zimmerman; three brothers, Ronald, Andover, Russell, Circle Pines, Gerry, Ham Lake; six sisters, Darlene Getchell, Aitkin, Mary Lyn Galleymore, Aitkin, LaVonne Danielson, Arden Hills, Sharon Weber, Minot, N.D., Joyce Nistler, Minneapolis, Shirley Anderson, Coon Rapids; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His parents and a brother, Virgil, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Bulldog Lake with Father Vincent Ott officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Holy Family Cemetery in Bulldog Lake.
Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Friday and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. A rosary will be said 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
