HACKENSACK -- Minnie C. Clausen, age 65, of Hackensack, formerly of Minneapolis and Bloomington, passed away Friday, July 16, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd after a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 26, 1938 in Hillman, MN to Earl and Florence (Brown) Keehr.
In 1958 Minnie married Dick Clausen in Columbia Heights. They lived in Minneapolis and Bloomington until 1993 when they moved to Big Deep Lake in Hackensack. Minnie was a very special and loving person who made everyone who visited her home feel welcome. She was involved in numerous church activities including Loaves and Fishes, Children's Task Force, Morning Out, Vacation Bible School, and many others. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Hackensack Legion Post 202 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick); sons, Scott Clausen (Lisa) of Cambridge, Earl Clausen of Minneapolis; daughters, JoAnn Aiken (Frank) of Richfield, Ginny Stanko (Dana) of Hackensack; 6 grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, Mary, Preston, Tanner and Alexa; sisters, Mardell Starr of South Haven, Lucille Wida of Merrifield, Betty Sauer of Lander, WY, Ardyce Starr of Coon Rapids; brothers Lyle Keehr of Hillman, Ray Keehr of Forreston; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Keehr, of Spring Valley, WI.
Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, July 22 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hackensack with Pastor Thea Munson officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River and one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements by Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
