ST. CLOUD -- Behind a 3-for-5, four RBI performance by Kevin Ericson, the Brainerd Bees baseball team evened their record to 13-13 with a 11-7 win over Ultimate Sports Wednesday.
Nate Thomas was 3-5 with a double and RBI. Rob Lien finished 3-3, Josh Smith was 2-5 with a double and RBI, Jake Francis was 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Time Martin picked up the win on the mound. He pitched eight innings allowing four earned runs, 10 hits and two walks. He struck out three. Keith Peterson pitched the ninth allowing two earned runs and one walk. He struck out one.
Brainerd's next game is at Jordan 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Aitkin Legion wins
STAPLES -- The Aitkin Legion baseball team ended its regular season, taking one of three games. Aitkin split two games with Staples, losing the first game 6-2 and winning the second 11-10 on Wednesday. They lost to Pierz Tuesday 6-2.
Aitkin managed only four hits in the first game against Staples with Phil Martin and Caleb Brown getting doubles. Martin took the loss on the mound.
In the second game, Martin racked up three hits while Jacob Mehr and Luke Martin each added two hits. The game ended in the top of the fifth inning with Aitkin leading 11-10 due to darkness.
Against Pierz, Brown pitched a complete game, but took the loss. Mehr had two hits including a double and Levi Baer added a triple.

Team goes to state
The Brainerd 10-year old baseball team will travel to Savage to compete in the Minnesota State Federation state tournament Saturday and Sunday. The Warriors won the eight team Brainerd Invitational tournament earlier this summer.
They will open with Eagen at 10 a.m. and play Bloomington at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Brainerd 15-under team wins
The Brainerd 15-under baseball team won the Park Rapids tournament held July 12-13, defeating Sauk Rapids 7-6 and Bemidji 15-7 in pool play and downing Park Rapids 5-1 in the title game.
Mike Germain led Brainerd with a 7-for-8 performance. Other notable hitting: Scott Williams was 4-for-6; Jay Rakowski was 3-for-5; Korey Horn was 4-for-8; Brady Prince was 5-for-10; Grant Eller was 3-for-8.
Germain and Adain Kummet both pitched seven-inning compete games with Germain registering four strikeouts and Kummet 10.
