MONTICELLO -- Phyllis M. Mayer, 62, Monticello, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at her home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1938, in Faribault to Henry and Emma (Siem) Schulz. She worked at the state hospitals in Faribault and Owatonna as a human service technician from 1965-1970. She then moved to Brainerd and worked for the Brainerd Regional Human Services Center from 1970-1987.
Survivors include her husband Don Mayer, Monticello; a daughter, Collette Peterson, Brainerd; three sons, George LaRoche and Phillip LaRoche, both of Faribault, and Jeffrey LaRoche, Minneapolis; five step-children, Jody Nordstrom, Joni Baldwin, Randy Mayer, Donna Larson and Barbara Mayer; two sisters, Elvina Underland, Owatonna, and Emily Trepton, Wells; 10 grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Her parents and a brother, Roger Schulz, died earlier.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater with the Rev. Michael Short officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Clearwater.
