BAXTER - DECO Inc., a provider of security, training, consulting, program management and professional services to clients throughout the world with offices in Baxter, recently announced the award of government state-wide security guard contracts in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
The award amounts total $125 million during the next five years. This is in addition to the previous contracts award to DECO during the past eight months totaling more than $200 million.
Derek Dorr, DECO's president and co-owner, said: "Not only is it humbling to have added over 1,500 new employees over the last eight months, but it is certainly rewarding to everyone on the DECO team to do so competitively against some of the world's largest security companies."
In addition, Dorr was selected as one of the finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Years award in the Upper Midwest. This group of exceptional entrepreneurs was selected by an independent judging panel made up of regional business, academic and community leaders. The Upper Midwest program recognizes companies based in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.
