ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Toronto is finally coming to town.
The NHL's 2003-04 schedule was released Wednesday, and it features the Minnesota Wild's first-ever home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs -- the last club to visit to Xcel Energy Center.
The Wild open the 82-game regular season Oct. 8 at Chicago and play their home opener Oct. 10 against the New York Rangers. They'll play each of their Northwest Division opponents six times (as opposed to five last year) and the rest of their Western Conference opponents four times apiece.
Minnesota also hosts the All-Star Weekend on Feb. 7-8.
