Eller powers Legion in split

Blake Eller pitched and hit the Brainerd Legion baseball team past Menahga/Sebeka 9-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday at Don Adamson Field.

Eller picked up the win on the mound and went 2-for-3 including a solo home run. Mark Germain was also 2-for-3 for Brainerd.

Five Brainerd errors in the first two innings led to four unearned Menahga runs and a 5-4 defeat in the second game.

Chris Klabo had a two-run double and Eller added a run scoring single.

Morgan Shepherd came on in relief, giving up only two hits in 4 2/3 innings of work.
