Mark Dismore, a 2002 Indy Racing League racer, is scheduled to visit Mega Menards in Baxter Monday.
He will be signing autographs from 6 until 8 p.m. as part of the store's Grand Opening Celebration.
Dismore will replace injured Team Menard driver Jaques Lazier for the rest of this season.
Yaunick wins first feature
Dan Yaunick of Brainerd won his first Late Model feature at Viking Speedway in Alexandria Saturday night.
Yaunick, a former Wissota Super Stock track champion at North Central Speedway, is in his second year of racing late models.
Snyder, Brickson place 8th and 9th
SAUK CENTRE -- Trent Snyder, Ironton, and Brian Brickson, Little Falls, finished eighth and ninth in a late model feature race at I-94 Raceway Saturday night. Will Kendall of Baxter was 15th.
Track owner Tim Olson won the feature, his first this season.
In heat races, Snyder was second and Brickson was fourth in one and Kendall was fourth in his.
In mid-season points, Snyder is fifth, Brickson is ninth and Kendall is 22nd.
The three-eighth mile asphalt track also will host the Planet Pages Midwest All Star Racing Series Governor's Cup Classic July 27. The classic will be for MARS late models and 100 laps.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck racer Nathan Haseleu will race. There also will be live pit stops,
Fredrickson finishes 11th
JENNERSTOWN, Pa. -- Dan Fredrickson, whose crew chief is former Brainerd resident Nate Thiesse, finished 11th in the American Speed Association Pennsylvania 300 Sunday.
Fredrickson is one of the two ASA racers for LaFavre Racing of Lakeville.
