Downtown Brainerd reconstruction project nearly complete

Final asphalt paving is complete in the downtown Brainerd reconstruction project, contractor Tom's Backhoe Service announced Thursday.
Striping is scheduled for Monday and is expected to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, weather permitting.
On Sunday night Front Street and the north block of Seventh Street will be closed for Monday striping. Tuesday, Laurel Street and south block of Seventh Street will be closed.
Plantings are complete with the exception of the larger trees. Tom's Backhoe Service reported it wanted to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this entire project.
