BNNA meeting scheduled Tuesday

The Brainerd Northside Neighborhood Association's monthly meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Congregational Church in Brainerd.

The meeting will be in meeting room 1 on the second floor. Attendees are asked to use the entrance near the parking lot.

Guest speaker will be Elizabeth Harris, crime prevention specialist. All northside residents and business owners are welcome.

Gardening tip: poppy seeds

Save ripening annual poppy seeds by cutting off the pods and placing them in a paper bag. Store them in the refrigerator until early fall, when the pods will have opened or can be crushed to release the seeds. Sow the seeds in desired beds for bloom next year.
