The Crosslake Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Crosslake Community Center. They will be touring the Living Legacy Gardens in Staples.

Chapter DV, P.E.O.

Chapter DV, P.E.O. will meet for coffee at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Julie's at Grand View.

Friends of the Library

Friends of the Brainerd Public Library will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, preceeding the "Brown Bag Lunch" speaker, Wendy Rosnau. For more information, call Dawn at 829-4092.

American Legion Auxiliary luncheon

The American Legion Auxiliary will have a picnic luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion Club at 708 Front Street. Menu is potato salad, baked beans, ham sandwiches, Jell-O cake and beverage. Cost is $4. Call in orders welcome at 829-2249.

Nisswa Garden Club

The Nisswa Garden Club meeting and luncheon will be Thursday at the Lutheran Church of the Cross. The program by the Flower Show Commitee is titled "Flower Show Prepartion." The coordinator is Barbara Bogdanovich. Hosts are Kay and Del Draves and Nancy Hall. Non-members who wish to attend may call 963-7494 before Monday to make reservations.

NARFE

The Brainerd Chapter No. 738 National Association of Retired Federal Employees will have lunch and a meeting 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Ridge Golf Course, Motley.

Senior dances

Senior dances will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Brainerd Legion with music by Ervie's Band; 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Onamia with music by Melody Makers; 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pequot Lakes with music by John and Virginia; and 2 p.m. July 25 at Cushing with music by Jolly Fisherman.

Chapter CJ of P.E.O. will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home of Marlyss Schaefer. Assisting: Katie Burton. Program: Audrey Stattelman.

WHS class of 1940

The WHS class of 1940 will meet at noon Tuesday at Ember's. All members and spouses are invited.

All classmates are invited to the 50th reunion committee meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd American Legion.

Tour of Homes

The 3rd annual Lions Bay Lake Tour of Homes will be July 30-31. Meet at 8 a.m. at the Lions' building across from Ruttger's for coffee and muffins. Hop a tour bus at 9 a.m. and return to Ruttger's for lunch. $35 per person. Call 678-3447 to register. Proceeds will benefit Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity.

Nisswa American Legion

Legion general membership meeting will be 7 p.m. Tuesday. Auxiliary membership meeting and installation of officers will be 7:30 p.m. Farmer's Market will be 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The Quilts and Oil Paintings show and sale will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Backus Lions and Air D, Inc., fly-in

The Backus Lions and Air D, Inc., will host a fly-in, drive in pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 25 at the Backus Airport. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Backus Fire Department and the Backus First Response Team.

WHS class of 1953
