Woman injured in two-vehicle crash

BACKUS -- A 37-year-old Clearbrook woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:37 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 371 at the junction of Highway 87 in Backus, the State Patrol reported.

Tracy Mathson was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. The driver of the second vehicle, Theresa Griep, 42, Pine River, was not reported injured.

Three injured in crash

LITTLE FALLS -- Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 10, four miles northeast of Little Falls, the State Patrol reported.

Shawn Mattila, 38, Menahga, was driving a pickup truck involved in the accident. Mattila suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

Nicholas Sanderson, 17, Little Falls, was driving a farm tractor. He suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital, according to the State Patrol.

The other driver was Ernest Behrens, 48, Browerville. Behrens was reported injured and was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
