BAXTER -- A 15-year-old boy was injured Saturday on a ride at the Paul Bunyan Amusement Center.
The Baxter Police Department was called to Paul Bunyan at 5:31 p.m. Saturday for a medical situation the amusement park.
According to the Baxter police report, the 15-year-old fell out the sphere-shaped transport of the Space Probe ride and was trapped under the transport. The ride uses air pressure to launch the transport inside of a tube.
Don McFarland, who with his son, Steve, owns Paul Bunyan Amusement Center, said the 15-year-old was an employee who had ridden the Space Probe a number of times.
"It was a non-incident," McFarland said. "He was back in the park in an hour."
The 15-year-old was freed from under the ride by other Paul Bunyan Amusement Center employees and treated and released from St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
The 15-year-old's name was not released.
