Brainerd police

THEFT -- A 1989 Buick belonging to Rodney Shahaiash, 700 block of Juniper Street, was reported stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in Beltrami County.

Staples police

VANDALISM -- The Staples Police Department reported more than 35 vehicles at Nyhus Chevrolet had paint remover poured across their hoods, causing an estimated $30,000 damage.
