LITTLE FALLS - Logan Kalis quieted the No. 4 seeded Brainerd bats striking out seven through seven innings and only surrendering two runs on four hits as top-seeded Little Falls won 15-2 during the North Subdistrict 6 tournament Wednesday.
With a bat, Kalis went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. Joe Rydeen finished 2-3 with a home run. Pete Suska finished 3-4, Eli Ploof 2-4 and Eddie Wenzel 2-5 five for Little Falls.
Joel Martin finished 2-for-4 and collected a double and an RBI, and Rob Veith drew three walks and scored for Brainerd.

Brett Jenkins went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs as Brainerd edged fifth-seeded Park Rapids 5-4 in the opening round of the North Subdistrict 6 playoffs Wednesday in Brainerd.
Trevor Howard earned the win pitching 8.1 innings, striking out six and issuing three walks. Jarren Hanson scored twice and Rob Veith collected an RBI for Brainerd.

NISSWA - Trevor Thompson was a double shy of hitting for the cycle, but he did drive in five runs as second-seeded Nisswa defeated fifth-seeded Park Rapids 15-10 in the second round of the North Subdistrict 6 playoffs Wednesday.
Dan Bendzik hit a homer run, while Tyler Halters and Kyle Crocker each hit doubles for Nisswa.

AITKIN - Aitkin's Kyle Hoffman struck out five and walked two and ensured himself of the win with his game-winning RBI double in a 2-1 first-round victory over third-seeded Pierz Wednesday.
Hoffman allowed three hits and the one run in the eight inning game.
Scott Nyberg put Aitkin on the board early with an RBI single.
Pierz's Travis Kahl picked up the loss.

Ben Kepner collected a double, as CLPLFL managed to score 12 runs on five hits and committed no errors.
Brandon Hilts pitched five innings, struck out five and issued three walks in the win.
