Salvation Army donation drop-off days changed

The Brainerd Salvation Army thrift store, at 609 Norwood Ave., is temporarily changing the donation drop-off days.

Donations will only be received from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays until further notice. This change will allow time to restructure the donation drop-off area for better traffic flow.

Southeast Brainerd resident group will mark National Night Out Aug. 4

The Southeast Brainerd Resident Association will host a National Night Out celebration at the Harrison School playground from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4. A light picnic supper will be provided, and you may bring a dessert to share if you wish.

The event offers residents an opportunity to play games, relax and get to know their neighbors better. More information may be obtained by calling Elizabeth Harris at the Brainerd Police Department, 829-2805.
