Lightning split pair over weekend

NIMROD - After getting rained out after two innings against Bemidji Friday, Fred Weiss, Aaron Jenkins and Tony Parrish combined for a 6-0 shutout against Fargo Saturday.
Morgan Shepherd was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Jenkins 1-3 with a solo home run to pace the Lightning offense. Lakes Area scored all its runs in the second inning.
The Lightning's offensive luck ran dry in their game with Moorhead, as Moorhead starting pitcher Steve Dingmann no-hit the Lightning in a 6-1 Moorhead win.
