EMILY -- Celebrate Emily Day will include both a kiddie parade and a main parade Saturday.
The kiddie parade will be 1 p.m., followed by the main parade at 1:30 p.m. To register for the parade, call (218) 763-3071 or (218) 763-3453. No candy may be thrown from vehicles. Parade units must have walkers alongside vehicles to distribute candy.
Other events include a pancake breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. at St. Emily's Church Hall, sponsored by the Snowbirds Snowmobile Club; food booths, craft fair, pony rides, kids' games, flea market and beer gardens at Emily City Park; chain saw carving demonstration noon to 4 p.m. and auction at 4 p.m., featuring George Kobi of Kobi's Carving in Walker; a cross cut saw contest at 3 p.m.; and live music in the park featuring Whiskey Johnson 2:30 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Elvis from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
A fireworks show over Lake Emily will be at 10:30 p.m.
A raffle drawing will be at 8 p.m. at Emily City Park. Tickets are $2. Prizes include a 2003 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 automatic ATV; a 5-foot wood carving of a bear by Kobi; Grand Casino Mille Lacs jacuzzi suite with dinner and $200 cash; $200 cash; $150 cash; $100 cash; and $50 cash.
