Villella's Bada-Bing in Baxter will be the site of a fight night promoted by Brainerd's Brock Larson.

An UFC Undisputed XBox tournament and pig roast will begin the festivities at 3 p.m. Aug. 15. The bouts will begin at 7:30 p.m. The XBox tournament and pig roast are free while admission to the fights is $20 for general and $25 for floor seats. The card will feature local fighters; Jeremy Anderson is the main event.

Kids triathlon set

The Brainerd Kiwanis Club's second youth triathlon is scheduled at 4 p.m. Aug. 22 at Whipple Beach in Baxter.

Athletes 5-9 will compete in a 25-yard swim, two-mile bike and one-mile run. Those 10-14 will swim 50 yards, bike four miles and run two miles.

Registration fee is $18 and is due by Aug. 1. For those registering after Aug. 1 the cost is $25.

Registration forms may be downloaded from the Kiwanis Club Web site at www.brainerdkiwanisclub.org or picked up at sponsor business locations in the area. Online registration is available at www.signmeup.com/64246. The field is limited to the first 350 athletes.

WDRL tickets available

North Central Speedway, along with Bob's Building Supplies, will offer racing fans an early bird ticket discount for the July 28 WDRL Late Model event at NCS.

Bob's Building Supplies will be selling a limited amount of discounted general admission tickets for the $5,000 main event. The cost is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for children 14 and under. Children 6 and under will be admitted free.

General admission prices at the door will be $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children. Reserved seats at the door will be $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for children.

Fans ordering advanced reserved tickets prior to July 24 also will get an early bird discount. For early bird tickets, call the NCS ticket hotline at (218) 839-2137 or e-mail kt@racencs.net before the July 24 deadline.
