The Paul Bunyan Junior Open Tennis Tournament is scheduled July 23-25 in Brainerd.
Sponsored by Brainerd Community Education, the Level 6 tournament is sanctioned by USTA/Northern Section.
Each participant must show or purchase a USTA membership.
Players are limited to two events, one singles and one doubles, in the same age category. Events will be for boys and girls ages 10-18 in singles and doubles. There will be no doubles event in the 10-under division.
All events will have a consolation round.
Deadline for online entries is July 20. Draws will be limited to 32 entries per singles event.
Participants must register at tournament headquarters at the Brainerd High School tennis courts before their first match. Other sites will also be used. Maps will be available at tournament headquarters.
Fees are $28 for singles, $30 for doubles (per team), and a USTA card.
Awards will be given to first- and second-place and consolation winners. All participants will receive a tournament T-shirt.
Each player is responsible for finding out their first-match time and site. Starting times will be posted on TennisLink at www.usta.com after 10 a.m. July 21.
