CROSSLAKE - Criminal charges are expected against four people suspected of causing about $5,000 in damage and theft at Crosswoods Golf Course, the Crosslake Police Department reported.
The damage was reported July 4, police said. Two golf carts were stolen and taken out onto the golf course. Both carts were damaged as were putting greens. Beer and several packs of cigarettes also were stolen.
Police Chief Robert Hartman said three 18-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested the week following July 4 and are expected to be charged with felony damage to property and misdemeanor theft.
