20 years ago (1984)

The class of 1934 is planning its 50th year reunion at the Moose Lodge. A trio consisting of Howie Hill, Don Alexson and Evelyn Carlson will perform. The will play tunes of the 1930s.

30 years ago (1974)

The Brainerd City Council Monday night did some scanning into the future when it received a five-year capital improvement program for the city totaling $14,643,500.

40 years ago (1964)

Customers at Minnesota resorts spent more than $17 million at those resorts in 1963. The survey shows that Crow Wing county set the pace for gross revenue with $2,417,000.

60 years ago (1944)

The Brainerd trading post located on South Sixth Street is our youth recreation center. All Brainerd teen-age people can belong. We have small membership dues payable every three months.

80 years ago (1924)

The Brainerd Elks were decisively defeated in Sunday's game 10-0 at the Koering grounds, by the N.P. shops team, being outplayed at every stage of the game.

100 years ago (1904)

The summer people are plentiful at present.

We are very glad to see that C.E. Benson has a very attractive clerk.

Miss Clara Howe met with a very bad accident. She fell from her bicycle and sprained her ankle.
