PEQUOT LAKES -- Mae Seeman age 71 of Pequot Lakes passed away Friday, July 9, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd after a brief battle with cancer. Born January 9, 1933 in Coggon, Iowa, to Floyd and Mary (Couser) Avis. She married Robert Seeman on August 18, 1956. Mae is survived by her three children; Sharon Eckardt (Kurt) of Pequot Lakes; Karon Seeman of Columbia Heights and Gerald Seeman of Pequot Lakes; two brothers Carl Avis and Jay Avis both of Coggon, Iowa; three sisters, Clara Hootman of Burlington, Iowa, Daisy Rickels of Monticello, Iowa and Marlene Olinger of Strawberry Point, Iowa; four grandchildren Stephanie, Chad, Shannon, Roger and one great grandchild Zach. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert on June 7, 1995, parents Floyd and Mary Avis, brother Leo Avis and two sisters Dorothy Hassler and Ann Kuper.

Ann Austin, age 92, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, July 10, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. She was born January 3, 1912 in Little Pine Township to Frank and Margaret Carter.
