GRAND RAPIDS -- Natalie MacMaster, a fiddler, will perform a concert Aug. 29 in a joint fund-raiser between KAXE and the Reif Center in Grand Rapids.

Two of MacMaster's four albums have gone gold with another, "My Roots Are Showing," being nominated for a Grammy earlier this year. Her most recent release is "In My Hands."
She was named Female Artist Of The Year and won the Roots/Traditional Solo Artist of the Year awards at the 2000 East Coast Music Awards, and her latest CD, "In My Hands," won her a Juno Award for Best Instrumental Album in 2000. The traditional recording "My Roots Are Showing" earned a 1999 Juno Award for Best Instrumental Album as well.
