John C. Wright

AUSTIN, Texas -- John C. Wright, 67, Austin, Texas, a summer resident of Garrison, died Monday, July 9, 2001, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born July 27, 1933, in Los Angeles to Charles M. and Helen C. (Cook) Wright. He was a former professor of child development at the University of Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife, Aletha Huston; a son, Kennedy Wright, Washington, D.C.; four daughters, Elizabeth Wright, Illinois, Jennifer Wright, Oregon, Melanie Wright, England, and Serena O'Connor, Kansas; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Burton, California, and Priscilla Wright, California; and his former wife, JoAnne Wright, Oklahoma.

Private burial will be held in Garrison.

Arrangements are with Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka.
