Thomas M. Nelson Jr.

HILL CITY -- Thomas Michael Nelson Jr., 40, Hill City, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1961, in Minneapolis to Thomas Michael Sr. and Yvonne (Snakenberg) Nelson. He went to school in Irondale and then moved to Remer. He graduated from Northland High School. He was in the Navy from 1980-1984. He went to truck driving school and had been a truck driver for the last 17 years.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Nelson, Hill City; two daughters, Kaylah Nelson, Foulda, and Jonna Clarke, Remer; his parents, Tom Nelson Sr. and Barb Nelson, Remer; five sisters, Deb Jansen, Zimmerman, Lori Watne, Grand Rapids, Linda Messer, Denver, Joan Wetherille and Barb Wagner, Minneapolis; two brothers, Danny Wagner and David Wagner, both of Remer; and his grandmother, Margaret Walker, Mora.

His mother, Yvonne Nelson, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hill City Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Lee officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Hill City American Legion Post No. 340. Burial will be at a later time.
