Young women and men of the Brainerd area are eligible for an All-Expense Paid Scholarship to a foreign country from the Brainerd Rotary Club.

Brainerd will be asked to play its part in aiding the young men enlisted in the Army and Navy of the United States next week when the United Service Organization campaign opens in this city. A goal of $2,000 has been set by committeemen in charge of the drive.

H.F. Michael has a summer hobby. He is crowing today about having ripe tomatoes in his garden. He planted the seeds about March 10. He has plants nearly five feet high. City affairs will doubtless be side tracked so far as this second ward alderman is concerned.
